BEYOND

Beyond the days, beyond the night

Do we ever see beyond just today

In this rush to reach somewhere

Do you ever stop to see where you are headed?

I can see the life just rushing by

And in the end it's nothing but sand that remains

Where have everything gone

That we had run behind to make our own on

Where are all those days that just passed by

Did we make enough memories to last us our whole life

Or did we just spent it to make a better tomorrow

Did we just waste the today for a tomorrow that may never come

A tomorrow we have no guarantee on

Did we smile enough, did we make others smile

Or were we too caught up in our rush

To care about those near by

We too have a plan, where we will be

At 20, at 30 and on retirement too

But do we ever think what God has planned for us

And when his plans come, we can do nothing but follow

Did we take enough challenges?

Did we see enough world?

Or did we shrink our world

To stay within four walls

Why is it that we do not realize,

That life has passed by

Until the last minute when it passes us by

Why do we not slow down and smile at the life

Living each moment as tomorrow never may come
